Hi, welcome to my world!

I'm Nichola — a self-taught artist in London, making original multicultural art since 2015. I'm usually found hiding behind my iPad. Everything starts as a pencil sketch, then gets painted or finished digitally.

I make positive images of people of colour, so my children and others like them can look at my work and feel empowered, uplifted and proud of their black girl magic and black boy joy. And I mean diversity properly - colour, nationality, age, size, ability, religion, sexuality and gender expression. Nobody should feel less than another person because of the way they look or the way they live.

My other passion is shining a light on what it's like to live with depression. To fall down, and find a way to stand again. It's a road I've travelled, and you can never really leave the path, but you can draw a map and keep it safe. I want anyone still on it to know there's no shame in feeling broken, and that there's hope for healing.

Ten years in, my Wrap Game card has been stocked in Sainsbury's. I also run WomenKind, bringing women of colour together to make art.
